Manuscript in Skinner's hand of his 'Pipe Strathspey for violin', 'Maggie Cameron'. Since the pipes have no G sharp, the key gives G natural. His note below the tune says to 'Press hard with the fingers, and don't omit the wee notes or fluttering leaves. Give one bow to each bar as a rule.' (See JSS0152.) |
