| Item Description | Crichton letter page 2 of 4. Mary Ann discovers that Miss Christie's (JSS0507) grandfather was 'William Christie (alias Dancie Christie)', and one of her uncles was 'Rev. William Christie_ Fochabers (Dean of Moray)'. (He also published two volumes of Traditional Ballad Airs.) Mary Ann also unearthed A Collection of Strathspey Reels, published by (Dancie) Christie', which belonged to 'Mr Will, Pitsligo' (see Mrs Will, JSS0153, JSS0641). |
