Course Description

Clinical Dentistry 2 provides students with teaching within non-restorative areas of clinical dentistry. This includes Anaesthesia, Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Radiography and Extraction teaching.

As you progress through the BDS programme the teaching will build on previous years learning.

This first year of the course begins with key teaching on knowledge, and the practical application, of local anaesthesia for dental treatments. This includes understanding of the dental reasons for providing anaesthesia and the anatomy of the oral cavity.
