MC5008: INTRODUCTION TO MICROBIOLOGY

First Sub Session

This course will provide students with microbiology knowledge for further advanced studies and will provide training in microbiological laboratory techniques.  At the end of this course students will have an understanding of microbes associated with health and disease (including bacteria, fungi and viruses), practical and academic understanding of laboratory techniques required for the culture, identification and characterisation of microbes, and increased confidence in reading and critiquing primary research literature

ME5023: MEDICAL EDUCATION 2

First Sub Session

This course runs alongside Medical Education 3 and aims to further the knowledge and skills gained from PG Cert by using collective and organisational lenses to understand medical education.

ME5024: RESEARCH PROJECT IN MEDICAL EDUCATION/ DENTAL EDUCATION

60 credits

Level 5

First Sub Session

To further the research skills gained from the Educational Research course and conduct and report on a research project on an area associated with Medical Education.

Second Sub Session

To further the knowledge and skills gained from Pg Cert/Med Education 2 by using collective and organisational lenses to understand medical education.
