Course Overview

You will be introduced to research funding, grant application, intellectual property (IP) and commercialisation, will learn about the main stages involved during the preparation of a research proposal as part of a submission for external funding, and review the principal sources of research grant and research contract funding.  You will attend a session on developing professional academic web pages, and be introduced to the basic steps for effective dissemination of information in scientific posters, manuscripts, and oral presentations, as well as how to make best use of feedback from conferences and the journal review process.
