An Opera in a week!
Join University students in this short 45 minute opera. Rehearsals start on Tuesday 8th September and the opera is performed on Saturday 12th September. The chorus sings "Down in the Valley," interwoven with the Leader's sung exposition of the story of Brack Weaver, who "died for the love of sweet Jennie Parsons / He died for the slaying of Thomas Bouché." (The Leader acts as a singing narrator throughout the work.) This performance is followed by a Ceilidh for all music students of all year groups. Come and meet, greet and socialise with music.
