Distinguished Belgian violinist, Nathalie Vanballenberghe headlines the University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra’s second concert of the season with a dazzling interpretation of Mozart’s wonderful Violin Concerto No 3.

 

The powerful, fiery and energetic Fifth Symphony by Shostakovich concludes the evening’s entertainment in a blaze of orchestral virtuosity as the young musicians of Aberdeen University get to grips with one of the most powerful artistic statements of the twentieth century.
