Recruitment Presentations

Recruitment Presentations

Presentations are a great opportunity to talk to our students about your placements and vacancies, your recruitment procedures, and your graduate programmes. If you would like to come and present to our students please get in touch with us.

Recruitment Presentations can cover:

  • Informing students of types of graduate careers and opportunities available
  • Recruitment sessions
  • Internship and placement opportunities
  • CV and mock interview sessions
  • Working through application procedures
  • Running work-based exercises to give students an insight into what a particular career would be like

We can advise on what might work best for you.

Approximately 40 sessions are delivered each year and attendance will vary from small informal student groups to over 100 students, depending on your requirements and the format of the event.

Before your on-campus session, we will:

  • Work with you to develop a session that meets your needs
  • Confirm your target audience, room requirements, and advise upon dates and timing
  • Book a room for your session
  • Advertise this, and if required, manage a student sign-up list
  • Where appropriate and possible, liaise with relevant subject area secretarial and academic staff to help raise awareness amongst the student cohort
  • Where our online events system has been used, provide you with an indication of the number of students signed-up to attend
  • Ensure you have directions to the venue and arrange reserved parking if required

On the day of your on-campus session we will provide a Careers and Employability Service representative who will:

  • Meet and greet you
  • Help you to set up in your venue
  • Answer any queries
  • Advise of any IT procedures
  • Advise of any H&S issues, and other relevant information
  • Advise of procedures for leaving the venue

After your on-campus session, we will:

  • Contact you to gain feedback to ensure we have met your needs

For your off-campus session, we will:

  • Discuss your requirements, confirm your target audience, and advise upon dates and timing
  • Advertise this on our dedicated events system and, if required, manage a student sign-up list
  • Where appropriate and possible, liaise with relevant subject area secretarial and academic staff to help raise awareness amongst the student cohort
  • Where our online events system has been used, provide you with an indication of the number of students signed up to attend
