Help with Additional Registration Support - Photo Upload

Frequently Asked Questions

The Photo Upload system accepts the most common file types, including: .avif, .png, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .heic, .heif, .heics, and. heifs. If your image is not one of these file types, consider using an online converter to change it to one of the file types listed above.

Please also ensure your photo is no larger than 10Mb.

Once you have uploaded your photo, you will be able to crop and rotate it as needed.

If you require further assistance, please use the Report a Problem feature in the Student Hub to direct your query to the appropriate support team.

If your photo was rejected, you will have received a message from the Infohub explaining why. To upload a new photo, please log in to the Student Hub and go to the Personal Details section. Please review the photo guidelines listed below and upload a new photo for our team to review.

Your photo must:

  • show you on your own, looking straight at the camera
  • be a close-up of your head and shoulders
  • show your full head, without any head covering, unless you wear one for religious or medical reasons
  • have been taken recently
  • be in colour, not black and white
  • be in sharp focus, with a clear difference between your face and the background
  • be taken against a plain cream, plain white or plain light grey background
  • not show you with red eye
  • be taken with your eyes open and clearly visible (no sunglasses or tinted glasses and no hair across your eyes)
  • be free from reflection or glare on your glasses
  • be taken with nothing covering your face

You can upload a photo for your ID card via the Student Hub. You will be asked to upload a photo during Online Registration but you can also upload a photo later through the Personal Details section.

We use Microsoft’s Face API to check your photo before you submit it. If the tool cannot detect facial features clearly, or believes the photo does not meet certain criteria, it will flag it as unsuitable.

However, this tool can sometimes make mistakes. If you believe your photo meets the requirements, you should still submit it. Every photo is reviewed manually by a member of our Infohub team, regardless of the Face API’s automated feedback.
