Course Description

This course is designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to successfully navigate the job market and prepare for their professional careers. Through self-assessment, targeted development planning, and practical application exercises, students will gain a deeper understanding of their personal strengths and areas for growth. The course blends practical career development skills with critical theoretical insight to equip students for the evolving world of work. While students will gain hands-on tools and strategies for navigating their career paths, equal emphasis is placed on understanding the ‘know-why’—drawing from both foundational and contemporary career theories. The course integrates key aspects of career preparation, including skills evaluation, gap analysis, CV and cover letter writing, and mastering interview techniques.
