Course Overview

This course prepares students for the transition from academic study to the workplace. Through a combination of applied psychology content, professional skills development, and reflective practice, students will explore how psychological science is used across a wide range of employment settings.

Course Description

Through a series of lectures students will be introduced to key organisational psychology concepts such as selection, appraisal, motivation, teamwork, and wellbeing to demonstrate how psychology informs real-world people processes. Students will engage in self-reflection to identify strengths and development needs and build psychological literacy for roles both within and beyond traditional psychology careers.

By combining academic content with career development activities, the course will enhance students’ ability to articulate their psychological knowledge, evaluate workplace practices, and present themselves effectively to employers.
