This course equips students with a solid grounding in the key areas of European and UK competition law, including the economic theory and legal origins underpinning the subject. Through case studies, students will see how competition law and policy are applied in practice — and will also be encouraged to critically engage with areas where the current framework may be problematic or inadequate. Guest lecturers from practice and government agencies frequently participate to offer students an insight into the law in practice.
