Undergraduate Counselling Skills 2026-2027

This counselling skills course explores some of the key theoretical models for counselling skills and counselling.  Combining theory learning, practice skills, and reflective self-exploration it supports the development of the ability to undertake helping relationships

This is the third in a series of four counselling skills courses, and it focusses on a range of presentations in mental health, and teaches students to be responsive to these using embedded counselling activities

This on-campus course is the fourth in the series of counselling skills and teaches students to understand and take forward their ability to offer embedded counselling in both the online and in-person environments.

Completion of this course provides evidence of the capacity to move on to therapist training if desired.
