Course Overview

This course integrates advanced physiological concepts across the continuum of life.

With an aging population and the associated complex health challenges, students will be introduced to a range of career threads and understand the dynamic interplay between individuals and their changing physiological, psychological, pharmacological and biochemical needs for lifelong health and wellbeing.

State of the art practical classes deliver hands on science and clinical skills to develop professional preparation and knowledge-based practice.

Course Description

This course is designed to provide advanced knowledge and insight, based on current scientific research, in the issues associated with the process of aging. Common diseases that are highly prevalent in the elderly will be investigated and lifestyle approaches that could affect those diseases will be considered.
