Course Overview

Through flexible modes of delivery, meeting the needs of participants, employers and/or professional bodies, the Professional Project course supports students in fostering a commitment to ongoing professional development and practice through processes of active learning. Engagement with this course supports the reconstruction of professional knowledge, involving cyclical processes of action and reflection to improve practice.

Course Description

During the Professional Project course, students will engage in academic reading, writing and thinking that supports confidence building and supports their enquiry stance. Bring together information from literature from their area of expertise to support an argument, with appropriate investigative approaches, students will gain experience and demonstrate confidence in the planning, implementation and evaluation of practice. Making use of appropriate digital technologies, students will take responsibility for decisions about what they need to learn, how to learn and how to present reports and critically reflect to learn about and from practice.

Engage with literature and professional practice to identify an area of practice for enquiry.
