Course Description

Students will gradually build responsibility for teaching, learning and assessing though initially observing in a wider school setting. With support they will then begin to plan, implement and reflect on learning and teaching within their subject area/s with consideration for future practice based on practice, policy, professional dialogue and enquiry.

SE 1 structure
- Orientation placement (week 14-15),
- SE 1A (weeks 16-20)
- SE 1B (weeks 25-27).

Students who have been graded as unsatisfactory in SE 1A by the tutor will have an opportunity to overtake this in School Experience 1B (summative assessment).

For all placements:  Pass or fail only. Not assessed using CGS.

 

Students who receive unsatisfactory reports in SE1 will not require a resit as this can be overtaken in SE2.

 

On completion of SE2, if required, a retrieval 5 week placement can be undertaken during September.
