Course Overview

Develop your employability skills through your pre-existing part-time paid work or voluntary work. Please note you need to have your own existing paid or unpaid experience for this course which takes place during the second half-session. The details of this experience need to be verified with the course tutor prior to starting the course.

This course is designed to prepare students for the workplace by developing general employability skills.

Course Description

Students are able to make use of pre-existing part-time paid work or voluntary work as part of a practical learning experience. Students are required to be undertaking approximately 35 hours of paid or unpaid work within the 12 week duration of the course.  Content of the course will include both practical skill and reflective elements. Students can expect to develop a range of skills including intrapersonal and interpersonal skills for employability, team working, problem-solving, self-motivation, leadership and management, personal effectiveness in the workplace, and presentation skills.
