Course Overview

Students registered for Honours and Joint Honours degree programmes offered by Computing Science can take up short-term summer placements / internships with companies (3 months). Students are required to successfully complete an internship, submit a final report and give an oral presentation.

Course Description

The content and practical skills gained by the student will vary depending upon the nature of the placement.

  • This course is available, subject to approval from the course coordinator, for extra credit only, and may not be chosen as part of the 120 required credits for the year. 
  • Restricted to students registered for Honours and Joint-Honours degree programmes offered by Computing Science.
  • Projects associated with the client firm need to be approved by the course organiser.
