Course Overview

As part of the PGDE programme this blended course provides a variety of learning experiences which develops, students’ knowledge and understanding of current issues in Scottish Education.   Students will engage with pedagogical theory to support the development of professional values and skills in preparation for School experience.

To develop in students -

  • professional values, skills and abilities relevant to the professional practice of teaching
  • personal and professional values and commitment to career long professional learning
  • a depth of knowledge, understanding and expertise in professional enquiry
