Course Description

This course builds on the work carried out in Research Project Part 1. During this course, students analyse the material they collected in Part 1 and, under the guidance of a member of staff, prepare and write the final report.

The techniques of analysis vary with the nature of the research problem; however all students are guided in the arts of:

  • critical analysis of existing literature
  • applying relevant theory to ethnography;
  • report planning and writing.

As in Part 1, particular emphasis is placed on helping students develop their own skills.
