Course Overview

The course builds on the material covered in the 1st-year courses expanding on psychology’s concepts and theories. The course covers three core areas of psychology: cognition & language, personality & social psychology, and perception.  Social Psychology will cover topics such as leadership and group processes.  The perception part of the course will examine the visual and intentional systems.

Details, including assessments, may be subject to change until 31 August 2023 for 1st half-session courses and 22 December 2023 for 2nd half-session courses.

Summative Assessments

1st Attempt: 1 two-hour written examination (60%); continuous assessment (30%) - essay no more than 2,000 words, workshop (10%).

Resit: 1 two-hour written examination (60%). Continuous assessment marks will remain unchanged.

Formative Assessment

There are formative assessments associated with the lecture programme.

Feedback

Students will receive written feedback during continuous assessment.
