Course Overview

This course is an introduction to Philosophy for those who don’t know anything about the subject. We will learn what Philosophy is and why it is important for human progress. We will also consider some of the key questions that are addressed by Philosophers in contemporary writing.

Course Description

This course provides an introduction to Philosophy and assumes no prior engagement with Philosophy. The course will examine what Philosophy is, what its methods are and introduce students to some of the key debates in contemporary Philosophy. It is intended to provide an introduction for those students who may wish to take level one Philosophy modules.
