Course Overview

This course continues from GH1010 Gaelic Reading for Beginners 1A. 

The course aims to improve your vocabulary, fluency and command of language structures through study of a wide range of authentic texts.

The course is aimed primarily at those students who plan to continue with Gaelic to degree level or who aim to become fluent in the language.

Course Description

The course will develop understanding, fluency and command of language structures through the study of a range of written materials, including authentic texts. It will also encourage discussion of materials using basic Gaelic.

Summative Assessments

1st Attempt: 100% based on four excercises. Resit: Examination 100% comprising translation and comprehension excercises based on two set texts.

Feedback is given verbally in class to give students an indication of their progress. All formal assessments will be given a CAS mark together with written and verbal feedback.
