Course Description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the theoretical and practical aspects of various ergogenic aids, including pharmacological agents, sports foods, drinks, and supplements. Students will critically evaluate their metabolic effects, efficacy, health implications, and legal considerations, while also emphasizing clean sport principles and adherence to the current WADA prohibited list.

A significant focus is placed on understanding the diverse nature of different sports, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to nutritional support. Students will learn to navigate anti-doping regulations and develop strategies for advising clients on safe supplement use, incorporating risk mitigation protocols.
