This course is for people who believe organisations operate in a constantly evolving world, where they are either introducing and / or being pulled along by change. The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘venture’ as a transitive verb meaning “to risk the loss of something in the hope of obtaining some advantage or gain”. To be effective in leading ventures, it is important to fully understand the opportunity at hand, assess the risks involved, and know how to onboard other resources to support the initiative. This programme provides an excellent opportunity for our students to acquire the knowledge needed to develop and refine their venture ideas, while also offering an academic foundation throughout the process.
Students will explore a wide range of topics, including creativity, innovation and idea generation, market opportunity recognition and shaping, business model design and analysis, organizational requirements for new ventures, the ethical and social benefits of new ventures, and pitching a business proposition.
