Course Overview

This course focuses on personal development and the high-level skills needed to manage complex team communication, analysis, negotiation and leadership challenges. Practice-based sessions offer an opportunity to self-evaluate and create personal development plans. Good practice is critiqued to help set targets and standards for executive performance, particularly in relation to effectiveness in challenging work scenarios.

Course Description

This course takes three key areas of high-level management practice and provides a creative and challenging vehicle for students to improve and develop competence. The four areas; data analysis, communication and leadership of teams are broken down into contexts, tools, skills and knowledge to create a platform for self-evaluation of skill gaps and weaknesses in participants. Interactive sessions are utilised in presenting and critically evaluating models of analysis, management and behaviour in simulated workplace settings. Team-based case studies and role-play are employed to facilitate skill development and evaluative skills in students.
