This programme aims to engage learners in taking a critical overview of their own practice, taking account of the requirements of the Scottish Education system, current policy and curriculum drivers that impact on professional practice of teachers.

Depth and diversity in thinking about learners

·         Identifying Challenges in Current priorities in the education systems such as Closing the Attainment gap

·         Addressing barriers to learning

o   Literacy as a barrier to learning

o   English as an additional language (EAL)

o   Emotional literacy

o   Children and young people on the autism spectrum

Developing personal theories of learning and practice
