Course Overview

This course is an introduction to the MyAberdeen platform which is used to deliver all online courses, to the university’s code of conduct for staff and students, and to make students aware of the support and help available to them during their studies. It is a zero credit but compulsory course for any student undertaking any online courses or programmes within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) at the University of Aberdeen.

Course Description

This course will introduce students to the University of Aberdeen’s virtual learning environment, known as MyAberdeen. It will take students through how to navigate and access the required courses, how to interact with the system, and how to get help if required. It also aims to introduce some of the key functions of MyAberdeen that are frequently used during online learning courses. It will introduce the university’s code of conduct for taught students and the expectations of students and staff relating to academic integrity. It will also introduce the support services available to students within the Student Learning Service.
