Course Overview

The aim of this course is to equip students with an understanding of key aspects of new venture creation, including business planning, pitching new ideas to investors and managing growth. This is a capstone course, by bringing together a range of different concepts.

Course Description

Students will undertake sessions in: - Understanding and analysing business models - Investor perspectives - Market opportunity recognition and shaping Analysing organisational requirements and employment models - Business plan analysis - Pitching a business proposition - Presentation design, making professional presentations compelling.

Summative Assessments

1st attempt: 100% coursework. Resit: If a student fails to reach a pass mark of CAS 9 overall, they may be permitted to undertake a resit of the substantive assignment.
