This is a general introductory course for the Oil and Gas Computing programme and will provide studentswith an overview of the Oil and Gas industry as well as setting the context of Computing therein.

Course Description

The course will cover topics that will give an introduction to the subject of Oil and Gas Computing, including such things as: An overview of the upstream Oil and Gas industry Legal issues affecting Oil and Gas computing (e.g. licensing, IPR) Constuction of Oil and Gas computing systems Managing legacy systems Digital Oilfields.
