Course Overview

This course introduces students to selected legal issues in oil and gas contracting.  The focus will primarily be upon English law.  The course will be taught primarily by seminar and lecture.  Particular emphasis will be placed upon the industry's use of Joint Operating Agreements and risk/liability allocation arrangements in service sector contracts.  Other issues covered may include dispute resolution in the oil and gas sector, legal issues concerning the transportation of oil and gas, and gas sales agreements.
