Course Description

The course contains the following topics: data types and presentation, probability, introduction statistical inference and hypothesis testing, hypothesis testing for continuous variables (parametric and non-parametric), hypothesis testing for categorical variables, measures of effect (odds ratio and risk ratio), correlation and simple linear regression, measures of agreement.

Summative Assessments

Assessment will be through three time-limited MCQs each 10% (30%), individual critical appraisal (20%) [written assignment 2500 words], main data analysis using SPSS (40%) [electronic submission] and peer assessment of the main data analysis (10%).
