SCQF 6 Physics Access Course (Engineering) is designed for widening access students.
The course includes the key topics from SCQF 6 school course in Physics, which are necessary for Engineering students. It will enable to meet subject gaps, for example if a candidate holds only 3 Highers (with Physics either not being of them or being of a low grade) they could receive a conditional offer subject to passing this Access Course.
The students will have access to the material related to all topics during the duration of their study. The students will have up to 12 months to complete the course at their own pace. The material consists of short pre-recorded lectures (each lasting up to 15 minutes), pre-recorded tutorials (each lasting up to 15 minutes), explaining the key problems related to the topic; and providing reading material with examples of problems’ solutions. For self-evaluation and self-study the students will get list of problems to solve as well as the tests on the topic.
