PU5918: FOOD CHOICE AND BEHAVIOUR

Other credits

Level 1

Third Sub Session

This on-line course will provide you with an understanding of how our current obesogenic environment contributes to the psychology of eating behaviours. Through a combination of on-line lectures and course papers we will explore theories that discuss the role of eating patterns and diet composition in influencing food intake. We will also examine nutritional and non-nutritional factors that influence food intake, for example, palatability, food portion size and snacking patterns. An on-line workshop will give you the opportunity to discuss the complex subject of eating behaviour with experts in the field. The assessment for this course is designed to test whether you have developed an enhanced understanding of specific factors influencing eating behaviours.
