Psychological assessment is widely used by professional psychologists, with clinical, occupational and forensic applications. The aim of this course is to introduce psychometric theory, real life applications of psychological assessment and the legal and ethical issues surrounding test administration.
Topics covered on this lecture based course include: reliability and validity; IQ and mood assessment; clinical neuropsychological tests; assessment of dementia and forensic aspects of assessment.
This is an ideal course for students aiming for a career in applied psychology.
