Topics will include evolution & emotion, lifespan development and sensation & perception. In the second term, you will study another three strands of Psychology, looking at Evolution & Emotion, Developmental and Sensation & Perception. Sensation & Perception will explore how we experience the world around us, via our receptors, and how the brain then works with this incoming information. Evolutionary Psychology covers how we think human behaviours- such as co-operation and morality- have developed, while Emotional Psychology considers what emotions are, how they develop and how we can measure them. Developmental Psychology will take you through the lifespan of a human, from how we learn and grow in infancy, to adolescence, to adulthood- and how these processes may go wrong.
