A level four Gaelic language course for students taking honours Gaelic. The course runs over both semesters and is topic based, enabling students to develop their ability to deal with a large range of subjects in Gaelic. The course also develops students' generic writing and oral skills.
|Session||First Sub Session||Credit Points||15 credits (7.5 ECTS credits)|
Information on contact teaching time is available from the course guide.
1st Attempt: 2 two-hour written exams (70%); 1 thirty-minute oral exam (30%) Note that students are assessed only at the end of the Level 4 course. These are core courses for Gaelic Studies. Any student failing this suite of courses is no longer eligible for Honours in Gaelic Studies. On failing the final exit examination, a student may register to resit the non-Honours course GH3002.
Students are assessed formatively throughout both Level 3 and Level 4 Gaelic. This assessment is based on a folio of written work and a profile of oral class performance.
