The course will examine the practices of pastoral care within a local church context by considering basic questions that include: what is pastoral care, why do we care, how do we care, where do we care, who do we care for and when do we care?
The role of the carer will be examined and discussed, while students will be encouraged to reflect theologically upon their own experiences of offering pastoral care to others.
