It is not part of the project to provide a definitive edition of the text of the Bestiary, but to help readers by providing a transcription and translation of the text. Currently the following editorial conventions obtain:
The perindens tree.
A symmetrical arrangement of doves in the branches of the tree and two dragons at its base.
Wood pigeons, not rock doves, will feed on fruit. Quire mark 'K' at bottom centre.

Bees work hard and honey gives health. The Perindens Tree. Doves dwell in the branches of the perindens tree and dragons lie at its roots, trying to catch the doves.
