Entry Requirements

The information below is provided as a guide only and does not guarantee entry to the University of Aberdeen. For information relating to your degree please check the online prospectus for specific requirements.

Undergraduate

The University of Aberdeen welcomes applications from students presenting a range of qualifications including

  • GCE A Levels
  • US High Diploma (with other standardised tests including the SAT, ACT or APs)
  • International Baccalaureate

Students presenting the Brazilian high school diploma are normally required to complete a recognised Foundation year programme for admission to undergraduate study.

Medicine: Please refer the School of Medicine and Dentistry website for information on entry requirements and how to apply.

Postgraduate: Typically the Bacharel/Licenciado/Licenciatura is deemed equivalent to a UK Bachelors degree. A score of 7.5 or 75 from a well ranked public institution is considered comparable to a UK 2.1, while a score of 6.5 or 65 is considered comparable to a UK 2.2.
