Collaborative Provision

Aberdeen University has a number of collaborative partnerships whereby its awards or credit are offered in collaboration with a partner institution.

All proposals to establish or renew a collaborative partnership involving students (including joint supervisions) are considered in accordance with the University’s ‘Procedure for the Approval of Collaborative Teaching Partnerships and Joint Supervisions’, whereby proposals are risk-assessed and considered according to their academic, business and strategic fit by one or more University Committee. The procedure is outlined in the Procedure Flowchart.

After first discussing a proposal with the Head of School or Graduate School and the Head of College as appropriate, staff wishing to propose a collaborative partnership (including joint supervisions) should do so using the University’s Collaborative Partnership Proposal Forms, following the Guidelines for Completion.

The completed forms should be signed by the Head of School or Graduate School and the Head of College, then submitted to collaborative@abdn.ac.uk.

Proposals will then be distributed to the appropriate Committees for consideration.

All queries relating to collaborative partnerships should be directed to Academic Services, Registry, at collaborative@abdn.ac.uk.
