What is happening?
IT Services will be carrying out a planned upgrade to the printing system between 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturday 16th August 2014. MFD services (print/copy/scan) will not be available on Saturday 16th August between these times. Topping up of print budgets will not be available between 16:00 on Friday 15th August and 18:00 on Saturday 16th August.
What should you do?
Please ensure all MFDs are switched on. Do not attempt to top up your print budget between 16:00 on Friday 15th August and 18:00 on Saturday 16th August.
During the upgrade all classroom and other centrally managed PCs will be automatically mapped with the MFD as the default printer. If you use a different printer as your default, you will need to change your default back to this on your PC.
Remember: Never switch off Multi-Function Devices (MFDs).
Switching off MFDs is not necessary as there is an in-built power saving function.
