This World Café lunchtime session invites you to share your views on the wellbeing of young people.

Challenging questions will be posed by researchers who are currently looking at the importance of environment and green space on wellbeing and how the expectations of young people progressing into adulthood may not match up with reality in this current economic climate.

Discussion leaders at this event will include Dr John Bone, Sociology at the University of Aberdeen, Dr Flora Douglas, from Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health at the University of Aberdeen, Megan Watson, Institute of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Aberdeen and representatives from Aberdeen Youth Council.

World Café is a method of hosting conversations that makes the most of the diversity of a group and is a participatory session where small groups will discuss different questions under the heading of wellbeing.

Whether you are new to development education or an experienced practitioner this lunchtime session will both inform and inspire you.

This event is part of the Scottish Universities Insight Institute project ‘Pathways to Wellbeing’ at the University of Aberdeen. For more information about research on wellbeing at the University of Aberdeen please visit www.abdn.ac.uk/engage/wellbeing
