Tickets for National Science and Engineering Week, the UK's annual celebration of science, engineering, technology and maths have just been released! We're celebrating this week with an illuminating programme of shows, talks, workshops and hands-on activities throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire - most of which are free - and all of which will inspire you to think, question and discuss.

Kicking off on March 14 with an audience with TV Natural History expert Miranda Krestovnikoff (Channel 4’s Wreck Divers), members of the public and school children have over 30 events to choose from held in a variety of locations across Aberdeen City and Shire. Although many of the events are just turn-up-at-the-door, for those that require booking, including 'An Evening with Miranda Krestovnikoff' - tickets have recently been released. Please visit www.abdn.ac.uk/engage/nsew to find out how to secure your tickets now!

This year’s theme is invention and discovery and we invite you to explore the universe, make an implosion, write with fire and even laugh the night away. Don’t forget this year’s Discovery Day at Satrosphere Science Centre on Saturday 23 March where, with free entry, you can experience an array of scintillating science.

The programme is coordinated by the British Science Association Aberdeen Branch, events are made possible through the generous support of BP, the Scottish Government and the University of Aberdeen. So we invite you to explore the universe, make an implosion, write with fire and even laugh the night away.
