The University of Aberdeen is once more proud to host the annual Energy Industries Overview, now in its 20th year. With a proven track record, this first class training event provides a valuable business opportunity for those wishing to gain a greater understanding of the issues and activities of the Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy Industries.

Delegates will hear from key industry specialists who are active in their field of expertise, senior representatives of the major operating and service companies, academia, and trade associations bring their knowledge to the event and put into context the future sustainability of the Energy Industries.

Course Aims

The course aims to give a basic understanding of the

  • Upstream Oil and Gas industry – technical stages from exploration to decommissioning
  • Regulatory and business environment affecting the two industries
  • Renewable Energy industry
