It’s that time of year again, it’s Superteams 2012! This year the theme is Olympic extravaganza so picture Kings Pitches on Sunday 11th March and from 9am to 6pm you should see hundreds of students running about in teams of seven and dressed as different Olympic sports, countries, host nations etc. It is going to be wild!
For those who are new to Aberdeen or have somehow missed this epic event in previous years Superteams is a day long event where teams compete against each other and the clock across ten different bases. Challenges range from inflatable games to a climbing wall to a giant slip and slide! It will test your fitness, agility, mental strength and team work. Saying this you do not need to be sporty to take part and there is always an option to be a volunteer too. There is also the prize giving and after party in Pearl to get excited about!
The teams are made up of seven people with a minimum of three girls per team. Each team will compete to prove themselves as the Superteam of 2012. It costs £10 per person and your entry includes a Superteams t-shirt, a goodie bag, a Grub lunch and one of the greatest days of your life! Every team nominates a Superman and a Superwoman who will have to work that bit harder to lead their team to glory.
This years activities will include all the old classics and some new and exciting events. You can expect;
- Inflatable obstacle course - Sumo Wrestling - Human Table Football - Pearl Lounge bucking pig - Bungee Running - Gladiators - Climbing Wall - Sprints - Tug of War - Tow a Bus - Team challenges - Endurance contests - Capture the flag - GIANT slip and slide

To take part in the greatest day of your life pop into the Sports Union office in ASV with your £70 and your Team name, fill in an entry form and get training!
There will be prizes for the best team name, the best costumes, top three teams, top three supermen and superwomen. Get inventive and get competitive!
The Charities Campaign will be on Kings Pitches providing a face painting service to complete or start off your costumes for a small donation towards their cause.

You will get a free hoodie, free lunch and get to be a part of one of the greatest events on the Aberdeen University calendar! It is a totally unique event and unlike anything you will get to do anywhere else so I’m looking forward to seeing you all there!
