Family Perspectives

As a child, I used to dress up in some of the beadwork for fancy dress parties and often won prizes for the most authentic costume. Once in the 1960s I wore the moccasins and carried the bag in the student Torcher procession. My friend was a student at Aberdeen University and she persuaded me to join her in the parade. I wore them right through the cobbled streets of Aberdeen, but there’s not a mark on the soles.
