Folio 78r

Devotions to the body of Christ and the sacrament, continued.

Prayer, Ave sanctissimum corpus, continued.

The author asks Christ to care for his soul in its weakness; to disregard his numerous faults and to regard him with mercy. Invoking God as creator and redeemer, the author asks that in receiving the sacrament, love may be kindled within him, evil extinguished; and that he may be one with God in the spirit.

O manna dulcissimum, o nectar sua\vissimum confer ori meo tue salutaris presencie\ mellifluum gustum, accende in me caritatem tuam, extin\gue vicia virtutes infunde, gratias adauge, salu\tem mentis et corporis tribue.
