Domine mi deus.



This prayer was revealed to St Bridget by Jesus Christ.


Ista oracio fuit revelata sancte Brigit\te a domino nostro Ihesu Christo\

Prayer, Domine mi deus.



A prayer of St Bridget to God that, through the conversion of bread to his body and of wine and water to his blood, her heart may be turned away from sin and her will converted to his, with the help of the Virgin Mary.


Domine mi deus meus creator et re\demptor meus. Ego infelix peccatrix\ ancilla tua indigna supplico tibi per illud mag\num et admirabile opus quod panem materialem\ in corpus tuum benedictum et vinum et aquam in pre\ciosum sanguinem commutasti et mirabiliter con\vertisti. Commuta cor meum ab omni affectione\ peccandi. Et converte voluntatem meam totaliter in\ voluntatem tuam ut te super omnia diligam te amem\ te semper et ubique totis visceribus benedicam tibique\ serviam. Et eandem voluntatem tuam sanctissimam\ sciam velim et facere valeam omnibus diebus vite mee,\ toto corde et ad hoc perficiendum tu me adiuva\ domina mea gloriosa semper virgo Maria mater\ domini nostri Ihesu Christi regina celorum. Que cum eodem fi\lio tuo regnas super choros angelorum in secula\ seculorum. Amen.
