Overview
This course aims to develop and equip students with the theoretical and experiential understanding to undertake support and mentoring roles. There are two versions of this course. For students able to attend in Aberdeen, there will be face-to-face tutorials. Students unable to attend these tutorials, or who live at a distance, will be able to follow the Web-based version of the course. There will be on-going tutorial support in both versions. Students wishing to take the web-based version of the course require to have appropriate keyboard skills, use of a PC with Internet access and experience of using the Internet.
A series of 5 weekly classes and final review session for the face-to-face version. The Internet version of the course follows a similar pattern with conferences and interactive contact with the tutor and other students being computer mediated.

This placement may involve face-to-face meetings with the mentee or telephone contact if the mentor and mentee are at remote locations. There are two versions of this course. Overview
This course is designed to develop the underpinning understanding and general skills an experienced student will need to work effectively as part of a teaching team in undertaking one-to-one or small group tutoring. Students will require to undertake a tutorial placement. Training on making oral presentations is an integral part of the course.

HND Administration and Information Management, or HND Business Studies, or 90 level 3 credit points in Management Studies, or postgraduate status in Entrepreneurship or Management Studies programmes.

Overview
This course builds on Student Tutoring: the generic skills. It equips students, who already have substantial experience in Business and Management Studies or in Entrepreneurship, to act as student tutors in the new introduced programme of a designated MA in Entrepreneurship. The course reviews the content of the courses in the degree programme and prepares students to work with FE and HE teaching staff as part of a teaching tem in the delivery of these courses.
6 weekly seminars and placement.
